Q. Can you help me prepare a budget estimate for a potential project at my facility?

A. Yes, we help our clients do this all the time. We have the experience to develop reliable project budget estimates with limited information based on “rules-of-thumb" and the data that we maintain from past projects. We provide this support to our clients on a regular basis to help increase the accuracy of their budgeting decisions.

Q. Can you meet the safety, insurance and bonding requirements of my facility?

A. We have a passion for safety. Our safety program is well defined and followed. However, we also make project-specific enhancements to address site-specific conditions and client program requirements. We provide strong insurance coverage from top-name providers and have over $20 million dollars of bonding capacity due to our strong financial condition and performance record.

Q. If you are working all over the country, why don’t you have local branch offices like the other firms?

A. We believe that our project-team approach better serves our clients. Each project is provided with the best-suited resources in the company regardless of geographic location. We centrally manage our production and support resources to optimize project delivery. Our project teams do not need to worry about branch office boundaries and goals since our entire company works as a unit.

Also, our centralized approach promotes the ability of working with the same person/team, familiar with your needs, project after project, regardless of geographic location.

Q. How can you be cost-effective at projects located all across the country compared to other local fire protection contractors?

A. Our focus on power and industrial facilities allows us to meet the challenges of widely spread geographic locations. Understanding the facility’s operation, the protection requirements and the needs of our clients allows us to create a cost-effective approach to each project. Our service delivery process incorporates the movement of information, material and manpower to avoid waste and work within the needs of our clients’ operation.

Q. As a union contractor, is it difficult for you to compete with open shop companies and projects?

A. We have many projects at non-union as well as union project sites. Our union field personnel are well trained and efficient. Working with the 669 Local Road Sprinkler Fitters allows us access to trained installation personnel anywhere in the country. We also have strong working relationships with various autonomous sprinkler fitter locals allowing us to work effectively within their territory.

Q. What manufacturers’ equipment do you utilize?

A. We work with fire protection equipment supplied by all approved manufacturers. In fact, in order to maintain our independence when recommending solutions, we do not act as a distributor for any manufacturer.
