Principle Duties and Responsibilities
This person in this position must be able to efficiently perform work in support of the Moran Group corporate accounting team. Primary responsibilities include:
Bank Account Reconciliations
Balance Sheet Account Analysis
• Intercompany Accounts
• Prepaid Expenses
• Fixed Asset
Monthly/Quarterly Payroll Tax Compliance
• File Returns
• Address Correspondence/Notices
• W-2 Preparation/Reconciliation
Sales Tax Filing Compliance
• File Returns
• Address Correspondence/Notices
Monthly Closing Support
• Prepare various supporting documents commensurate with Financial Close
• Health Benefits - BCBS, Dental, Life
• American Express Distribution
• Various other Recurring items
Assist in Data Extraction & Analysis
• Penta reports (CPR, etc)
Special Projects as Assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Four-year accounting degree from an accredited university/college (or comparable work experience)
• Five (5) plus years of experience in a comparable position
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong inter-personal, communication and organization skills
• Ability to function independently and as part of a team
Other Valued Qualifications:
• Experience with construction accounting systems (Penta, CGC, Timberline, etc.)
• Experience with service company accounting systems
• Experience with large database management systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with construction accounting software
